Application is a computer or mobile software designed to perform specific tasks. Apps may be bundled with the computer and its system software, or may be published separately.
"Application development" term may be used to refer to the activity of computer coding, but in a broader sense it includes components that are involved between the conception of software through to the release of the software, ideally in a planned and structured process.
WEB100 develops software applications for a variety of purposes.
Though mostly company works on social applications and enterprise software:
- Enterprise software addresses the needs of organization processes and data flow, usually in a large distributed environment (financial systems, CRM systems and supply-chain management software). Departmental Software is a sub-type of enterprise software with a focus on smaller organizations or groups within a large organization.
- Social applications - consist of communication and interactive tools. Communication tools handle the capturing, storing and presentation of communication, usually written but increasingly including audio and video as well. Interactive tools handle mediated interactions between a pair or group of users. Social software focuses on establishing and maintaining a connection among users, facilitating the mechanics of conversation and talk.
